Cheifs: 8-0 ATS as Home Dogs vs opp off BB SU & ATS wins!!!!!!!!!
16-1 ATS as Home Dogs vs opp off DD SU win!!!!!!!!!!

Giants: 6-0 ATS as home dogs off SU fav loss!!
9-2-1 ATS after Arizona!!!

Chargers: 53-1-1 ATS when win SU away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is playing against a dominant Super Bowl championship team really one of the best plays on the board? I think a lot of people will need convincing on that one, especially with Priest Holmes out and his backup, Blaylock, not at 100%. The Chiefs defense is an entirely different concern...

I understand your point, but you can't ignore those trends! This line opened up at NE -1.....that's it for the defending Super Bowl champs vs. a team with a so called horrible defense and banged up players and who's 1-3 at home this year??? I'm on the home dog in this one, BUT it isn't the best play on the board for me....my best play will be in the Arizona/Carolina game when the line comes out. Believe me, I know NE is a very dominant team, but feel this could be a bad spot for them against a team that WILL put up points and move the ball IMO. Good luck to you!!

Forgot to mention another good trend in favor of KC:

NE IS 0-6-1 SU at KC since 1964!!

Impressive trends, indeed. I feel trends shouldn't be applied to only one team, but to all teams collectively, as long-term trends (1964!) don't relate to the same personnel, so you might as well use the whole NFL as your sample base. One thing I don't like about trends is that they only trend the one game that came before it. Why not use 2 or 3 games previous to strengthen a trend? Using only one game doesn't provide enough information about the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two teams to validate a trend. 16-1 trends are impressive, never the less. I'm sure you're used to defending your trends by now, as it's a subject of much debate :)

BTW, in the Caroline/Arizona game, I like Carolina if DelHomme goes, and think they're probably worth a small play even if Rodney Peete gets the start.

Sweet Hayzeus, I thought the line was +3 Panthers, not Cardinals. I have the Panthers winning by 2 points, so that's definitely not a play for me.

Yeah...the line was CAR -3 on Monday then if went off the board.

Arizona is 5-1 ATS w/revenge vs. opp of DD SU win!!!

Hint, Hint.....I wonder who I will be on?? Regardless of the QB situation.....Panthers beat Zona LY 20-17! ARI is also 3-0 ATS (2-1 SU) vs. CAR L/3 with two of those outright wins coming at Carolina and this is by far a VERY much improved ARI team than those years. These two are going in opposite directions this season I feel. Panthers beat a terrible SF team last week...BIG DEAL! Glad they did because the trend fits nicely now!
